Privacy and terms

Account data. If you create an account, an email address, an Apple user identifier and your locale and time zone.

Your journal. Entries, the mood and tags you attach, and the analyses generated from them. Voice recordings only when you ask for a voice entry.

Waitlist signups. An email address, and any campaign parameters present in the URL when you arrived, so we know which posts actually worked.

When you request an analysis, the entry text is sent to our AI provider. That is the entire request. It is not sent with your name or your email address, and it is not retained by the provider for training.

When you record a voice entry, the audio is uploaded, transcribed, and then deleted from our storage. If transcription fails, the file is kept for no more than 24 hours so the retry has something to work with.

The app shows you what will be sent and asks for your explicit consent the first time. You can decline and still use Meowing App as a plain journal.

We do not train any model on your writing.

We do not sell your data, and there is no advertising in this app.

We do not use the contents of your journal for analytics. We measure that you analysed an entry, never what was in it.

Our backend runs in Singapore, chosen for latency to Indonesia rather than for jurisdictional convenience. If that changes, this page changes with it.

Journal data is encrypted at rest and in transit, and every table is protected by row-level security.

Export everything, in Markdown, JSON or PDF, from inside the app at any time.

Delete your account from inside the app. This removes your entries, audio and analyses. Local data is deleted immediately; anything remaining server-side is gone within 30 days, and you get a confirmation email.

You can ask what we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, by emailing the address below.

Entries and messages are screened for signs of risk. If a risk is detected, Meowing App does not return an analysis. It shows a short supportive message and contact options for Indonesia, including the Ministry of Health crisis line on 119 extension 8, and encourages you to reach someone you trust.

If you are in immediate danger, please contact local emergency services. Meowing App is not monitored continuously and is not a crisis service.

TODO before launch: the crisis numbers above are placeholders taken from the product plan. Each one must be verified against a current source, and the in-app list should carry the Kemenkes 119 ext. 8 line plus Indonesian Befase and Into The Light Indonesia contacts.

Meowing App is intended for adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

If we change how your data is used in a way that matters, we will update this page and tell you in the app before the change takes effect.

Meowing App is a journaling and wellbeing tool. It is not a medical device, it does not provide therapy, and it does not diagnose, treat or cure anything.

Nothing in the app is a substitute for professional care from a qualified mental health professional.

You are responsible for what happens under your account, and for keeping it secure. One person, one account.

Premium is billed through the App Store. It renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends, and you can cancel from your Apple account settings at any time.

Prices are set per App Store storefront and may differ from the amounts shown on this site. A trial, where offered, converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled beforehand.

Your journal stays yours. We claim no ownership of it, and we need no licence to store, back up and display it to you.

You are responsible for what you write. Do not use Meowing App to store anything unlawful.

Meowing App is offered as-is. Features may change, and parts of the service may be unavailable. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

To the extent permitted by law, Meowing App is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app, including reliance on its output as anything other than a prompt for your own reflection.
